Process Checklist Setting — Issues Tracker
Last updated on: 2026-05-26 | Updated by: MAGNI Docs Team
The Process Checklists — Issues page allows administrators to configure and manage the Issues Tracker feature for a specific checklist. By enabling this feature, you can designate specific users as Issues Owners who will be assigned to resolve issues flagged during checklist execution.
👤 Visible to: Administrator, System Administrator
Overview
The Issues Tracker is a powerful tool for quality control and process management. When a user executing a checklist encounters a problem and flags an "Alertable" question, the system automatically generates an issue. This page is where you enable that tracking system for the checklist and define which users have the authority and responsibility to manage and resolve those issues.

Breadcrumb Trail
The breadcrumb trail at the top of the page allows you to quickly navigate back to the main Dashboard, the Process Checklists list, or the specific checklist you are currently editing.

Feature Availability Restrictions
Depending on your organization's subscription and settings, you may see a "Feature Not Enabled" message instead of the configuration options. This occurs under the following conditions:
- Process Checklists Disabled: The entire Process Checklists feature is disabled for your organization.
- Issues Tracker Disabled for Customer/Checklist: The Process Checklists feature is active, but the Issues Tracker add-on is disabled globally or specifically for Process Checklists.
- Product Checklists Issues Tracker Disabled: If configuring a Product Checklist, the corresponding Product Checklist Issues Tracker feature must be enabled.
Issues Tracker Configuration
This section contains the main controls for enabling the Issues Tracker and assigning responsible users.
- Enable Issues Tracker Checkbox: Toggles the Issues Tracker feature on or off for this checklist.
⚠️ This checkbox is disabled if your user account does not have update permissions for this checklist.
- Alert Banner: If the checklist contains questions configured with the "Alertable" option, a red alert banner will display. It warns that enabling the Issues Tracker for the checklist will automatically activate it for all alertable questions.
- Limit Exceeded Warnings: If your organization has reached its maximum allowed limit for active Issues Trackers (either for Process Checklists or Product Checklists), a warning message will appear preventing further activation until limits are cleared or upgraded.
Issues Owners Management
This section becomes visible only when the Enable Issues Tracker checkbox is checked. It allows you to search for, select, and manage the users responsible for resolving checklist issues.
- Show Selected Checkbox: Filters the user list below to display only the users who have been selected as Issues Owners.
- Search Bar: A search field to find specific users by username, first name, last name, or email.
- Issues Owners Table: Displays a list of available users with the following columns:
- Selection Checkbox (All): Selects or deselects all users in the list. This is disabled if you do not have permission to update the checklist.
- Primary Owner: Allows you to designate a primary owner. New issues will be assigned to this user by default, though they can be re-assigned later.
- Username: Displays the user's username (sortable).
- First Name: Displays the user's first name (sortable).

Tips
- Set up Alertable Questions First: Before enabling the Issues Tracker, ensure your checklist has questions configured with the "Alertable" option. The Issues Tracker relies on these specific questions to trigger alerts and create issues.
- Always Assign a Primary Owner: Designating a Primary Owner ensures that newly generated issues are automatically routed to a default coordinator, reducing response times and preventing issues from being overlooked.
- Use the "Show Selected" Filter for Auditing: When managing large teams, check the "Show Selected" box to quickly audit who has been assigned to a checklist without scrolling through your entire user directory.
